Memory Trends

I just got back from Memory Trends last week. For those who aren't familiar with the Craft Industry, Memory Trends is a trade only Scrapbooking tradeshow. It was held in Las Vegas. I have been going to craft tradeshows for years, and I must admit that it was sad going to this one. It was half the size it normally is and the attendance was way down as well. Normally those shows are so loud, but this one was quiet -- it was very strange and very sad. The scrapbooking industry just isn't what it used to be, but there are still plenty of us diehards out there and it will evolve, but it will never disappear.

Despite the quietness of the show and the fact that there were so many missing people, I still had a lot of fun. I usually go to those shows with an exhibitor badge, but this time I went as a buyer, and I had so much fun. I am so excited about all the fun new ideas and products I got. I can't wait to share them with everyone who wants them shared.

I have decided to start my parties/classes before I move. I kind of wanted to wait because in my new house I will have my own little design center, but I just can't wait any longer. I want to go, go, go. So I am starting off with a card night. In honor of World Card Making Day, which is Saturday, October 6th, I have decided to hold a card night on Thursday, October 4th at 7pm. I am not sure exactly where it will be held, since we are in between houses right now, but I will post more information when it is available.
